What You Can Expect From P90x Home Fitness System
You’ve seen the commercials, heard about it from your friends or colleagues, but now you really want to learn for yourself what P90X is all about. Here’s an in depth preview of the only workout on the market that will change your life.
P90X Is Not Like Other Workouts.
If you’ve ever bought a workout video and wondered why you never saw results, most likely it was because that video was filled with a half hour of talk and the workout is for beginners better suited for those who aren’t looking for those not looking for a serious body changing workout. However, P90X is not like that.
First, you get a informative DVD on how to get the most of the program. Your personal trainer, Tony Horton, gets very serious, and gives you inspirational motivation to get you in the right frame of mind that you will need to the change in your body. You also get a a calendar to track your progress and a 40-page guide to all of the workouts in addition to the workout DVDs.
Then, you get 12 DVDs that consists of intense body shaping workouts. The strength workouts are based on circuit type training and include: chest & back; shoulders, triceps, bicep; back and legs; chest, shoulder, triceps; back and biceps and finally the “Ab Ripper X”, as they like to call it.
P90X Is Intense!
For example, with the Chest & Back DVD, you basically rotate a chest exercise with a back exercise. For example, you start out with pushups and then you move on to then pull-ups. Then, you rotate a regular grip, wide grip, a narrow grip, and finally reverse grip (pull-ups). Tony then has you doing some decline and incline pushups, bent over rows, back flys and some crazy military push ups that the Navy SEALS have a hard time doing.
There are of course a couple other exercises that I didn’t mention, but they are all variations of the above. So, with about 15 seconds rest in between each exercise, you finish the first round and you are SPENT! However, you have to do the whole routine over again!
If you’re worrying that this program will be too hard for you, don’t worry, about half way through the 90 days, your body will grow stronger and your endurance will increase far beyond anything you ever expected.
The rest of the DVDs are more of the same torture, however by the end of the 90 days, you’ll begin to love that stuff the endless torture.
What About Cardio Workouts?
P90x has just enough cardio workouts to keep you lean. These workouts include Plyometrics, Yoga, Cardio X, and Core Synergistics. All of which will have you scraping the floor with your tongue in the beginning. These workouts are serious, so you should be too if you want to tackle them and get in the best shape of your life!

No, there’s one more important element to the P90X program that will speed up your results. P90X comes with a nutrition guide to help you eat to be lean. Unless you are a professional athlete you need this nutrition guide. The P90X nutrition guide shows you IN DETAIL how EXACTLY to burn YOUR fat, and build YOUR muscle, not someone else’s fat and muscle. It takes you step by step, calculates your energy requirements for rest, for exercise, for everything, then give you a solid number to hang your hat on, so you know every single day, that you are either losing fat, or not.
In addition, they give you meal plans, down to the last calorie, carbohydrate and protein, so that you know EXACTLY what is going on in your body. No more guessing if you are losing weight because the scale might be wrong. Then, in one month, look at it in your pictures….you will be astonished! In addition, P90X puts you on three different phases of your nutrition plan: a fat burning phase, a strength phase and an endurance phase. You can watch you body change each week in the mirror….it is totally crazy!!! They even give you an entire 90 days worth of meal recipes.
